Harbour to Headwaters

The Avoca-Avonmore ‘Harbour to Headwaters’ project focuses on creating awareness of the rich biodiversity, water quality, habitat and heritage within the river catchments of Co. Wicklow.

The project encompasses the Avoca, Avonmore, Aughrim, and Avonbeg rivers, highlighting their interconnectedness and the journey from the sea to the mountains.

A Harbour to Headwaters biodiversity trail provides information panels at 16 key locations along the river network, showcasing its natural features and the local wildlife.
